Ben is getting crazier everyday...

Ben is 21 months old now and is really into the terrible two's already. He is a busy boy who knows what he likes. Here are just a few pics from the last few months. Notice they are blurry because he never stops moving!!

Cate's MMO

Cate's class was in charge of the Monday prayer service this week. The K students were introduced to the school and told a few things about themselves. Cate said that she "loves pink and purple, to ride roller coasters, to eat pizza from California pizza kitchen, and wants to be an artist when she grows up!" Let's hope she got her dads art skills!!

Back to School 2010

Ellie started 2nd grade and Cate started Kindergarten this fall. Ben started climbing out of his crib, highchair, stroller...
So far it has been a great year and we are thankful to be in the same school and house two years in a row!!

A week at the Lake

Chris finally got his dream of a week at Lake Chelan. His family has cabin there and he spent a lot of time there growing up. Because we have not lived close enough it has been hard for him to get there. We had a wonderful time with his family and introducing the Lake to the girls. They are getting old enough to enjoy all the wonderful things it has to offer...boating, tubing, fishing, board games, visiting the cute little town and catching up with cousins. Ben loved swimming and hanging out with the big kids. What a great time!!

Ellie loses her tooth... finally!

Ellie's top front tooth has been loose since last November. It has been a source of fun for her for nearly 10 months but that fun has finally ended! We were visiting tutu (grandma) and she helped end all of our misery! The tooth is out and the tooth fairy has visited. We are now on to the next one...thank goodness!

Chris' grandma turned 94 today! It was great to celebrate with family.

Oregon Coast

The kiddos have been missing the beach so we decided to try out Cannon Beach and Seaside Beach for our summer vacation this year. We had a great time on the road trip and we loved the Oregon Coast. Cannon Beach was beautiful and Ecola State Park was even more amazing. We saw the best views at sunset and a herd of elk...much to the kids delight. Seaside was fun and reminded us of the beaches on the east coast. We discovered a little bit of family history on the Cox side. It turns out Chris' great-grandma lived there and was one 4 people in the first graduating class.
Ben learned a new word "beach." We thought it was very appropriate considering he was born in Hawaii. He loved it and just ran, and ran, and ran and even got a little tan. Not easy for a red head!

Fun at Camp

The girls have enjoyed some fun camps the last few weeks. This week they were at a camp at the Children's Museum in Olympia. It was a camp about Flight. They made wings, a catapult, paper airplanes, and toured a real helicopter. They had a great time and learned so much! We also toured the Capital grounds since they were right next door. Olympia is really beautiful the 10 days of the year that the sun shines...and it decided to shine today!

Summer fun in the sun...finally

Ok, summer has been on hold here in Olympia. It finally made its debut and I hope it stays but... Well, we still enjoyed our awesome weather the last few days!

Happy 4th of July 2010~

We were lucky enough to celebrate the 4th in sunny eastern Washington. We loved seeing both sets of grandparents and spending some time with the cousins.

Ellie's dance and piano recitals

Ellie has been a busy girl the last few weeks. She had her first piano recital and she played "Fog at midnight." She was very calm and did a great job. She also had her dance recital. No hula for now, this one was for her tap class. She danced to Blueberry pie sung by Bette Middler. So sweet!

Cate loves soccer!

Cate just finished up her first real season of soccer. She did a great job! She loves taking the ball away from the other kids and we love watching her do it. She just scored her first goal last week and will play again in the summer league.

Ellie's Last Day of School

Ellie received the Spirit of St. Michael award on the last day. She was really surprised and we are very proud of her hard work this year!

Uncle Steve gets married!

My brother got married last week. It was a beautiful weekend for us all. We are thrilled to have Rebecca and her daughter join our family! The girls are so excited to have another cousin.
